Drupal CMS Architect/Designer (Contract or perm)

The "Next EUROPA" IT project is to implement a modern technical platform suited for the digital world. Within this context, Ordina is seeking an Application Architect/Designer with Drupal CMS background for the next EUROPA Content Management System.

DESCRIPTION OF TASKS
Non-exhaustive list of the tasks to be carried out:

Review of the architecture of Next EUROPA CMS (NE-CMS)
Design and development of components and building blocks for NE-CMS
Analysis of the integration of different information systems with NE-CMS
Data Analysis and modelling
Coordination of the implementation of the technical architecture for NE-CMS
Technical interface between the project leaders using NE-CMS and the NE-CMS developers
Production of technical documentation and user guidelines
Participation in meetings within the Commission

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
The following knowledge and skills are requested:

Up to date know-how in Internet web applications
In depth knowledge of Drupal, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
In depth knowledge of applications design
Good knowledge MySQL
Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application developments
Technical support experience

Due to the particular nature of a large international organisation such as the European Commission, candidates should also have the following non-technical skills:

Ability to work in multi-cultural environment, on a large project
Ability to participate in multilingual meetings, ease of communication in French and/or English
Ability to write documentation in English

WORK ENVIRONMENT / CONDITIONS

- The consultant will be integrated in the DIGIT Next EUROPA team. The tasks will be executed within the Commission's premises in Brussels. The spoken/written language will be English and French.
