Drug Safety Specialist (m/f)

Projektbeschreibung
-Interact with internal or external customers to clearly define the search criteria related to requests
-Aid in the selection of the appropriate data analysis strategy and adequate presentation of the results
-Check the results of database retrievals for consistency and plausibility
-Initiate appropriate actions in case data inconsistencies are detected
-Perform the statistical analysis and presents data in an appropriate format i.e., reports, line listings, tabulations or graphs through application of the correct system (SQL, SAS, Excel)
-Ensure timely and correct delivery of search results
-Responsible for the documentation of the search strategy and the results (electronically or as hard copies)
-Assist in ad hoc/special database searches in the event of urgent enquiries or audits by regulatory authorities
-Ensure any issues related to database searches are highlighted to the Head of the Data Management Group
-Maintain compliance with global and local SOP's and working practices
-University degree, preferably in natural sciences
-Profound pharmaceutical industry experience in a drug safety or medical information database environment
-Basic medical knowledge required, particularly a good knowledge of medical terminology
-Good knowledge of relational databases and SQL
-Good knowledge of external and internal, biomedical and drug literature databases as well as the corresponding retrieval systems and languages
-Good MS Office Excel skills
-Knowledge of SAS desired
-Good communication skills in an international environment
-Attention to detail
-Good time management
-Fluent in English/other languages such as French or German are of advantage
