Drug Product Formulation Associate Job

DRUG PRODUCT FORMULATION ASSOCIATE needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Thousand Oaks, CA.

THE BIG PICTURE:

- Primary analytical techniques include HPLC (size exclusion, reversed-phase, ion exchange), capillary electrophoresis, monitoring subvisible particle by HIAC, pH and osmolality measurements.
- The successful candidate will be expected to work with minimal supervision and have the ability to execute, interpret, summarize and present laboratory experiments.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- This position will provide formulation support for commercialization of protein therapeutics.
- Job responsibilities include formulation and analytical support for drug product formulation development.
- Additional responsibilities may include formulation characterization to improve the physical and chemical stability of protein therapeutics.
- The ability to quickly become proficient at new techniques as well as meticulous data recording are essential.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- B.S. degree in Life sciences/Chemistry/Biochemistry
- Zero to two (0 - 2+) years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work in a team environment are important.
- Fundamental knowledge of protein biochemistry
- Fundamental knowledge of analytical characterization
- Fundamental knowledge of protein interactions
- The successful candidate will have experience with protein formulation, and characterization and stability with analytical HPLC methods.
- Experience specifically with Agilent HPLC's and Chromeleon software is preferred.
- Critical skills include experience in analytical characterization, data analysis, experimental design, oral/written communication, and aptitude to learn a variety of computer software.
