Driver Validation TECH

Our client is the leading computer components company seeking a VALIDATION TECHNICIAN to validate 10G Ethernet Products. This candidate will set up and configure PC/Server platforms and network capable devices.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Install drivers and software for 1GbE/10GbE wired Ethernet controllers for functional evaluation and/or issue reproduction
- Execute Driver validation on Ethernet products
- Execute Test Plans, root cause and work with Dev to fix driver defects
- Communicate and interact with Developers and Validation Engineers
- Execute test plans in a timely manner

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows client and server operating systems including all aspects of setup, configuration, and troubleshooting
- In-depth knowledge of Ethernet technologies and TCP/IP protocols
- Knowledgeable on driver installation and troubleshooting
- Proven technical troubleshooting and problem-solving experience with a passion for learning technologies
- Basic understanding of PC system architecture including both client and server platforms
- Basic understanding of virtualization technologies
- Basic hardware testing experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly self-motivated with a strong work ethic and team orientation
- Scripting skills
- Experience with Ethernet protocol analyzers
- Team player; good verbal and written communication skills, strong work ethic

DESIRED SKILLS

- Linux installation and network configuration
- Experienced with KD/WinDBG
- PCIe analyzer setup and operation
- PowerShell Scripting
- Basic understanding of C/C++ programming
