Projektbeschreibung
The Drilling Team Leader handles the following responsibilities:
* Monitors daily drilling operations, reporting and troubleshooting problems and offering solutions;
* Communicates with drilling leadership on problems and potential solutions;
* Works with geology and engineering to assure logging requirements for each well are performed;
* Assists in the field on new tool and/or technology implementations;
* Works with service suppliers to identify and develop new tools for drilling that improves or increases drilling efficiencies;
* Reviews invoices from drilling operations to ensure correct payment for services up to $25,000;
* Reviews ongoing procedures in drilling operations to help optimize efficiency;
* Works with counterpart to maintain reliable, 24/7 coverage of rig calls and concerns on all assigned rigs;
* Assists in coordination of drilling services with onsite drilling specialists;
* Makes recommendations on preferred suppliers;
* Reviews daily drilling reports to check for operational accuracy and cost estimates; and
* Communicates with onsite drilling specialists regarding identified problems and solutions.
Required Skills
* Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and drilling reporting software
* Strong organizational and communication skills
* Ability to build a team environment
* Ability to supervise multiple projects at one time
* Ability to give precise and detailed reports of problems, updates, failures, operational parameters and personnel status
Required Experience
* Bachelor's degree in chemical, civil, mechanical or petroleum engineering
* At least one year of drilling operations experience which includes rig site work and that demonstrates knowledge in directional drilling, a familiarity with various weighted mud systems and knowledge of down hole tools and standard drilling practices
