Drilling Section Leader - Gulf Of Mexico

A large, international offshore drilling contractor is currently seeking a Drilling Section Leader for their Gulf of Mexico Operations. This company is well-respected in the industry for their knowledge and expertise in offshore operations and is looking for someone that matches their passion for quality.

Responsibilities:

* Ensure the operation of the drilling unit are planned and executed in a safe and proper manner
* Responsible for a clean and tidy area of responsibility
* Develop and maintain good working relations with other departmental managers, client representatitves, and other personnel on board
* Develop and maintain good working relations with onshore teams and other drilling units
* Responsible for keeping all the paper work in order
* Ensure the competence in the drilling department
* Observe to uncover any non-compliance
* Ensure that all work is done safely and professionally
* Carry out or assist in jobs or projects requested by his immediate superior
* Internal training
