Drilling Optimization Engineer

Responsible for adding value to the customer's operations through a disciplined optimization process. The process has several stages

* Qualification of customer objectives and needs
* Identification and gathering of data for offset well analysis
* Offset well analysis and target well preparation
* Identification of drillability issues

Candidate must have knowledge of...

* at least 5-7+ years of drilling related experience and will have an engineering degree
* drilling optimization processes
* significant drilling operational experience
* comfortable presenting in front of an audience of experienced customers and peers
* drilling systems
* concepts of Hydraulics modelling as well as Torque and Drag analysis.
* drill bits and drill bit applications
* Drilling Dynamics and dysfunctions and be skilled in interpretation of downhole vibration data sets
* Rig site drilling optimization experience

Based in Houston, Texas, but may be required to travel elsewhere within the U.S. if placed on a project outside the Houston area.
