Drilling Materials Analyst

We are currently recruiting for a global Oil and Gas operator who is offering an excellent career opportunity for experienced materials professionals in the oil and gas industry, with experience of drilling materials. The position of Drilling Materials Analyst offers a fantastic opportunity on a long-term contract basis with the potential for further extension, with a major Oil and Gas operator in Aberdeen on an excellent package.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all company material requirements for operational sites are met; and that the Materials Master Data is maintained accurately. This role will provide technical expertise in areas of specification, selection, procurement, inspection, storage and disposal of materials, spare parts and equipment and to provide effective support to company units and to the Procurement team. Stock analysis and reporting for Drilling and Finance. Ensuring stock availability to meet corporate plan. Control maintenance and repair of drilling materials. Proactively build and maintain relationships with clients and suppliers in order to establish and maintain a highly effective service.

To be considered for this role, you will be able to demonstrate experience in the following:

*HND, HNC or SVQ Level 3; equivalent in a technical discipline; equivalent work experience
*Extensive experience of SAP Materials Management Module
*Appropriate experience in a materials related role within the oil and gas industry
*Knowledge and understanding of Drilling materials and procedures
*Knowledge and understanding of inventory control and materials management processes
*Understanding of material specification, certification and verification processes
*Understanding of the interfaces between Materials function and user departments
