We have an urgent requirement for a Drilling Materials Analyst, to join a major operator.

This is an Aberdeen based, contract requirement.

Job Summary
Undertake drilling inventory counts and reconciliations for owned inventory in line with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) practice on an annual basis. Responsible for Long Term Strategic Planning of OCTG requirements for UKCS liaising with Drilling & Completion Engineers on an on-going basis to
allow accurate forecasting. Raise requisitions for current Materials & Tangible requirements

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Financial - Carries out duties in a way that maximizes value and minimizes waste and risk.
* Technical/Functional

Organize and implement drilling inventory counts in a timely manner in accordance with work schedules and safety procedures including obsolescence review and slow moving inventory. Generate physical stock count reports c/w executive summary for senior management approval. Challenge current practices and identify opportunities for improvement to enhance the business. Understand team members' roles and responsibilities in order to carry out all drilling inventory procedures. Ensure all transactions are carried out to Sarbanes Oxley controls and records kept where required. Maintain the integrity of documentation held in the UK Management System and proactively review and update in line with company polices. Maintain and manage a strategic plan of all long and short-term OCTG requirements for. Awareness of UK customs legislation guidelines.

* Performs other duties, completes additional tasks and supports ad hoc projects as required

QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING:
* Experience in drilling materials/purchasing role within oil and gas industry preferred

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
* Knowledge of oil and gas industry suppliers and the supply chain market fundamentals
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP and Procon
* Ability to perform effectively under pressure
* Assertiveness/ability to articulate clearly
* Capable of working on own initiative with little or no supervision
* Good organizational skills
