Drilling Engineering Supervisor

A leading oil and gas operator is looking to expand their North American team with a Drilling Engineering Supervisor. The responsibilities for the role are as follows:
* Assigns engineering staff to projects.
* Works with the Engineers & Superintendents to ensure drilling projects are executed optimally.
* Establishes standard practices/ SOP's for local engineers.
* Serves as single point of contact for all drilling requests that come from Asset and Exploration teams.
* Distributes all procedures, estimates etc. to Asset teams.
* Reviews and approves procedures, technical details and hazard/risk analyses.
* Approves all drilling work procedures.
* Approves all well design changes using MOC process.
* In conjunction with the Drilling Leadership Team, accountable for overall drilling cost, safety, and environmental performance.
* Participates in well design reviews and risk analysis.
* Assign Contract responsibilities to Engineers and ensure compliance w/ Contractor Management standards.
* Accountable for knowing and complying with all applicable regulations and Company HES training requirement and policies.
* Provides relief for Drilling Manager during his absence.
* Conduct performance appraisals / coordinates Personal Development Plans for all direct reports

Qualifications:
* Minimum 10 years oil field experience--8 in Drilling
* Bachelors Degree in Engineering
* Strong Risk Management capability
* Strong Project Management skills
* Extensive Well Control Knowledge and experience
