DRILLING ENGINEER TECHNICAL SUPPORT

Location: Houston, TX

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering

Experience:
* Minimum of 5 years of experience, 8 years experience preferred.
* 3 or more years experience in well planning and well operations, preferably deep water and international experience

Qualifications:
* Proven ability to function well in team environment
* Excellent presentation and communication skills
* Demonstrated leadership potential
* Trained in advanced well planning subjects including tri-axial design for tubulars, pore pressure prediction and detection techniques, extended reach drilling

Description:

Prepares well plans, conducts risk assessments and generates AFE's for complex wells. Provides drilling feasibility assessment for pre-project scoping and develops well plans and cost estimates for major projects.

Job duties to include:
* Prepares technical specifications for materials and services
* Directs service providers in preparation of drilling fluid programs, cementing programs and directional well plans
* Recommends performance metrics and goals for well operations.
* Provides pre-project feasibility assessments and cost estimates
* Provides engineering support to field operations during drilling of complex wells
* Provides guidance/mentoring to less experienced engineers

Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis.
