Drilling Engineer - OKC

This position reports to the company's Drilling Manager and will provide suitable well design, planning and execution for drilling activities (primarily horizontal drilling) for the company. In this position, the individual must have a good logistical, planning, and scheduling background in order to identify opportunities to improve the drilling process. This position supports the day-to-day drilling process and works towards best-in-class drilling efficiency, cost management, and environmentally friendly and safe drilling practices.
* Develop detailed well construction plans to meet integrity standards and business requirements, including safety and environmental targets
* Facilitate schedule and procurement requirements for well operations
* Permitting and communication with regulating authorities
* Ensure that risks are identified and managed to meeting operational integrity
* Management and review of service providers
* Perform post-drilling reviews

Candidate Requirements include:
* Technical expertise of oil and gas drilling operations
* Outstanding collaborative abilities
* Excellent verbal and written communications skills
* Initiative and independent thinking
* Bachelors degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent experience
* 5+ years applicable experience (Horizontal Drilling)
* Related professional certification
