Draftsman - Long term Contract - Gent Belgium

A GLOBAL CLIENT IS CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A DRAFTSMAN TO JOIN THEM AT THEIR SITE IN BELGIUM ON A CONTRACT BASIS FOR 12 MONTHS INITIALLY.

YOU WILL BE PART OF THE TEAM THAT SPECIALISES IN PORT ENGINEERING AND WATERWAY INFRASTRUCTURE, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR HYDRAULIC INFRASTRUCTURE: QUAY WALLS, LOCKS, PORT EXTENSION, JETTIES, MASTER PLANNING, FOUNDATIONS FOR OFFSHORE WIND TURBINES, DIKES, BRIDGES, TUNNELS, FLOOD PROTECTION, ETC.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

- As part of the project team, responsible for the implementation of the CAD drawings of our projects
- To assist the project engineers in the dimensioning of maritime infrastructure, taking into account all current standards, regulations, codes of practice and internal guidelines.
- To remain up-to-date regarding new techniques and developments in your discipline

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- 2 years of relevant experience in CAD design (2D and 3D)
- Offers excellent AutoCAD knowledge as well as other software (Revit, Civil 3D, Tekla)
- With experience in designing reinforcement plans
- With background in or affinity with hydraulic engineering infrastructure
- Good MS Office knowledge
- Excellent communicant, you are driven by quality and you work in a customer-oriented way
- Team player who is not afraid to propose innovative solutions
- Dynamic, precise and creative
- In possession of a "B" driving license
