Draftsman

WE ARE CURRENTLY SEEKING DESIGNER DRAFTSMAN FOR A 4 MONTHS CONTRACT POSITION IN SUWANEE, GA.

SKILLS FOR DESIGNER DRAFTSMAN:

- Must have knowledge in technical aspects of TK products, engineering standards and procedures.
- SOLID EDGE KNOWLEDGE IS KEY FOR THIS POSITION. SOLID WORKS IS A COMPARABLE PROGRAM THERE IS SOME FLEXIBILITY THERE.
- AUTO-CAD WITH A BACKGROUND IN REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS WOULD BE A PLUS AS WELL.
- High mechanical ability, blue print reading and good communication skills.
- Minimum 5 years engineering experience in departments such as Model Shop, Experimental Test and/or drafting.
- Technical school certificate of completion. High school graduate.
- 2 years technical school in related fields such as refrigeration, engine mechanics, electricity

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR DESIGNER DRAFTSMAN:

- Receives assignments from Engineers or Engineering Managers.
- Performs routine assignments that require a basic knowledge of engineering principles, practices and works from specific and detailed instructions.
- Assists in planning of schedules.
- Investigates and resolves routine problems that occur in prototyping, manufacturing and in the field.
- Revises, refines and improves existing parts or portions of refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
- Coordinates prototyping of parts and units between Engineer and Model Shop.
- Assists engineers in the design and development of new units or components.
- Assists engineers in design review meeting.
- Prepares ECO's and other engineering documentation under direction of Engineer.
- Prepares, modifies, and corrects Bill of Materials based on prototype and engineer instructions.
- Follows up and maintains records of projects assigned.
