Drafter

Interesting DRAFTER DESIGN contract opportunity for a highly regarded manufacturing firm in Milwaukee, WI. Require working knowledge of ProE Wild Fire2 and looking for general understanding of Motor Control Centers. Projected 8 month assignment. Local candidates.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Prepare under general supervision layout drawings or diagrams of sheet metal components, electrical devices, control tools, structures, etc. from data and specifications submitted by designers or engineers
- Create and modify detailed drawings using ProE Wilde Fire 2 software from sketches, layouts or notes provided by engineering
- Calculate dimensions and allowances, Collaborate with designers on new and special work, initiate engineering change orders and Compile BOMs and specification sheets
- Designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for software enhancements and new products
- May have opportunity to develop software tools including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases and Internet-related tools
- Works with engineers regarding model accuracy, design, drafting standards and documentation and Check drawing plots versus the project input for correctness and conformance to standards

REQUIREMENTS

- AS Degree in a technical area or 4 to 6 years of related experience
- Minimum 2-3+ years related experience
- General understanding of Motor Control Centers
- Working knowledge of ProE Wilde Fire 2 software
- A PLUS to have experience with experience with other ProE programs/J-Link, Toolkit or programming skills
