Drafter

Exciting opportunity exists for a CATIA V5 CAD Designer I Drafter just outside of Boston, Massachusetts!! The right candidate will have sound and recent CATIA V5 design experience preferably for the aerospace industry. Work with cutting edge technology with a cutting edge global company. RESPONSIBILITIES

- Reporting to the Senior Engineer, you will provide design and drawing support on custom designed productusing CATIA V5 CAD system including dimensional profiles, and related prints and specifications used in theplanning and manufacturing of mechanical assemblies and thermal acoustic blankets for aircraftapplications
- Assist Project Engineers in the development of sketches, drawings and designs.
- Develop, review and maintain drawings, EGOs, BOMs, and item masters. Modify existing designs to facilitate production or reduce costs
- Anticipate and resolve problems related to the design and documentation
- Travel to customers sites for DMU reviews and updates. Mainly North America, Europe and/or South America as required
- REQUIREMENTS
- Associates Degree or related Technical Design degree courses with a minimum of 3 years experience using CATIA in a manufacturing environment.
- Aerospace industry experience is a plus
- Ability to work with minimal direction to work through design issues both individually and as a team member and have the ability to work on multiple projects with very short leads times
- Ability and desire to travel as required.
- Demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills with desire to work in highly collaborative, customer-focused and team environment
- Must be eligible to obtain US security clearance if requested
