Drafter

SolidWorks / SolidEdge Drafter in Southeastern Massachusetts! You will work a precision sheet metal environment creating layouts, mechanical drawings and other documentation for company product line applications. You will interact directly with Customer Service and other Engineering staff to translate customer requirements into order entry and manufacturing documentation. RESPONSIBILITIES

- Read and interpret customer-supplied architectural drawings showing desired positions of client's fixtures, including intended electrical circuiting and switching/control schemes
- Produce detailed mechanical drawings using SolidEdge (SolidWorks) software showing layout configurations of products (drawings must provide all necessary details, dimensions and complete bill of materials when complete)

REQUIREMENTS

- Education or equivalent experience in mechanical drawing using Solid Works or Solid Edge software (Bachelor's degree and Solid Edge is highly desired)
- Analytical and problem-solving skills and an ability to deal with confusing and contradictory data
- Must have the ability to read and interpret detailed mechanical design documents and pay careful attention to detail and accuracy
- Working knowledge of trigonometry and analytic geometry
- Ability to work independently and quickly under the pressure of tight deadlines while managing multiple priorities
- Qualified candidate must have a minimum of two years working experience
