My Client, a world leader in design and manufacturing of satellites is currently looking for a Documentation officer to work within one of there key projects and department. The position is for 6 months and based in Portsmouth.

Your role as a Documentation officer will be Managing project documentation in collaboration with the Project Manager, and PA Manager. in line with the project CADM (Configuration and database management) plan under supervision of the project Configuration Manager. You will be accountable for the correct registration and archiving of project documents (internal and external) into company PDM system, for distribution using the PDM tool, and for compiling and decoupling outgoing and incoming data packs, and for file exchange via ftp and/or email.

Documentation officers responsibilities:
Internal and external document management.
Record documents in the database.
Control metadata.
Distribution of documents and data packs.
Generation of reports and metrics.
Manage archive storage of the project.
Guide users for document search. Propose process and tool improvement.

Skills required:

A good standard of education: Diploma, NVQ or similar
Previous background in a configuration and database management (CADM) assistant role or similar
Experience with technical documentation
Good organisational and inter personal skills
Ability to work Autonomously
