Document Management Engineer

Document Management Engineer required to guide the operational activities required to ensure implementation, deployment and maintenance of an effective Document and Records Management system in accordance with the clients Document Management policy and strategy and in accordance with the available IS technology.

The successful candidate will perform the below skills:
Understand evolving business needs and requirements in terms of business documents development, management and archiving.
Develop and propose documents archiving structure solutions to business functions and directorates.
Define and maintain the centralised Catalogue for Key documents Types (ownerships, retention times, metadata, glossary etc).
Define and maintain the Rules and Requirements for Document Management (eg exchange of mail, authorisation workflow, archiving rules etc).
Develop metrics relevant to company document Audit all business areas for adherence to DM Policy and DRM rules and procedures and perform critical analysis and define improvement plans.
Support to communications plan and awareness activities.
Support generation of updated business requirements in case of IS technology change.

The successful candidate will have the below skills:
Experience of Quality and Document Management Systems.
Broad understanding of the key technologies related to any of the following; Defence, Aerospace and Systems.
Knowledge of the quality standards.
Understanding of the major Document Management standards 9ISO, EN, DRM Life Cycle Management).
Detailed analysis capabilities and able to contribute to identify issues, risks and associated options for mitigations actions.
The successful candidate must be willing to undergo a security vetting procedure.
