Title: Document Designer - Evening Shift (Flexible) - 6 Month Fixed Term Contract

Who we are looking for

PwC are looking for an experienced document designer to join their Evening Document Design Team. The team is spread out within More London and some 4 regional offices. The team is responsible for formatting and design of both client facing and internal documents and presentations. This role will be responsible for producing a variety of document styles including client deliverables (reports and presentations), event material, brochures, interactive projects, that support the firms strategic priorities against the Clients and Markets strategy.

We are looking for:

Expert knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint is essential

Strong knowledge of Adobe inDesign CS5.5

Excellent and proven demonstration of document design skills.

Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills in order to develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships with key clients and contacts.

Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workload and handle several tasks at once within given deadlines.

Sound, confident judgement and proven problem solving skills.

Well-developed influencing and negotiating skills are required.

Strong PC skills essential

About the role

Client and Market Development is a centralised support function covering all aspects of professional services marketing, sales support and business development.  The prime area of focus for the function is to support the development and implementation of the firms marketing strategy and in particular to deliver Revenue growth, Enhanced relationships and networks, a distinctive brand. Design and Media sits within the market profile capability in the Client and Market Development framework, and is responsible for presenting PwC&rsquos brand and market profile with quality and consistency.

This role has arisen out of a need to replace a maternity leave within the team. You will report into the team leader, who reports to the UK Document Production Manager. You will have the opportunity to work across all lines of service and industries, in both the UK, as well as to collaborate with a range of PwC people, developing relationships and making you a valued member of PwC.

Responsibilities:

Advise clients on best practice, innovative design solutions and deliver above and beyond expected outcomes.

Quickly learn PwC&rsquos brand strategy and visual identity guidelines, and act as a brand champion.

Develop self and others through sharing knowledge.

Maintain good communication at all times, both within your immediate team and your clients.

Seek periodic feedback on projects to maintain or improve client service.

Creation of PwC branded documents such as reports, presentations, invites, brochures, flyers, using appropriate software e.g. Adobe InDesign.

Take briefings from clients, challenging and questioning clients as appropriate.  Able to discuss appropriate options for design and advising clients of best use of graphics whilst adhering to brand guidelines.

Provide ad hoc graphics solutions to client problems.

Proof own work and that of others for quality control.

Manage production of documents, e.g. liaise with printers (internal and external).

Keep up to date on current technology and advise teams appropriately, e.g. new software / hardware packages.

Take ownership of enquiries, resolving or escalating (or identifying alternative contacts) as appropriate.

Demonstrate strong organisational skills, regularly act on own initiative, highlighting issues and suggesting possible solutions.

Manage and maintain key communication networks.

See and act on opportunities to enhance client service.

Actively source and share knowledge with others.

Coach / Train other DP staff where appropriate

Exercise confidentiality, discretion and personal sensitivity in all aspects of the role.

Compliance with PwC policies and procedures in all aspects of the role 

Requirements

The following skills are required for this role:

Can demonstrate the ability to build relationships with clients and suppliers.

Solid design skills, likely to have significant experience and / or a relevant qualification
