Document Assurance Co-ordinator- Atherstone, Warickshire- 12 Months Initial Contract- £10-£14 per hour

Our client, a Global manufacturing company is seeking a Document Assurance Co-ordinator to be based in Atherstone on an initial 12 month contract.

The role:

This is a newly created role for the Atherstone site, reporting to the Site Manager for one of our clients Industrial Business. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, realisation and maintenance of documentation/information assurance related policy documents. You will be working with the functional areas of the site to identify required procedure/guidance documentation in support of policy as well as working with internal and external auditors to develop solutions to address control gaps in information assurance and monitor progress against implementation.

Main Purpose:

To create, review, co-ordinate, and administer the documentation control system for the Atherstone site. Functions covered are quality, engineering, manufacturing, EHS, and training records to ensure compliance with appropriate company and government agency regulations.
To represent our client as the Document Assurance Co-ordinator as required for external customer and regulatory reviews.
To provide advice and guidance to the functions in relation to best practice/regulation requirements for documentation processes.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills

Excellent organisational skills
Detail conscious and able to execute procedures exactly
Proficient in the use of MS Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Able to remain focused and present documents for audit purposes
Understanding of EHS, quality and engineering regulations is an advantage
Experience within the designing, implementation and ongoing support of information assurance frameworks.
Desirable to have some experience of working within a manufacturing environment.
To work positively as part of a team and communicate effectively with peers.
Able to effectively utilise written, electronic, verbal and other communication channels.
Desirable to have a general understanding of how to communicate with auditors and general employee expectations during an audit.

Key Responsibilities:

Work to appropriate systems, standards and procedures, eg data recording, labelling and investigation procedures.
Maintain good housekeeping and audit of company documentation.
Champion documentation standards and principles at the Atherstone site.
Coach and guide functions and colleagues in the application of documentation processes.
To present answers to audit questions to an auditor during internal and external audits.
Maintains extensive manual and electronic file knowledge to retrieve and store documents.
Organizes and attends documentation committee meetings.
Communicates with site personnel to identify and resolve document discrepancies and implement changes to documentation protocol.
Admin support for the Site Manager
Co-ordination of the site Employee Forum meetings
Control of site room bookings
Distribution of company information around the site
Co-ordinate the ordering of employees PPE
Administration of the site Time and Attendance system
