Can be based either Leeds, Manchester, Bedford, Dorking or Birmingham
6 month contract
£815 per day

A Divisional Director with experience in the Construction Industry (ideally roads sector) is required for a strategic leadership role that reports into the Major Project Director and sits on the Executive Team. You will be responsible for directing and motivating a large team delivering a portfolio of major projects and property acquisitions and overseeing all aspects of a portfolio of large scale and complex projects.

The following skills and experience are essential:

*At least 15 years experience in the Construction Industry and ideally in the roads sector leading high risk and high profile programmes
*Previous experience of Programme Management of at least 3 inter related projects preferably in the public sector
*Professional Qualification in Engineering or Project Management
*Successful track record in a senior strategic management role
*Proven project management background with experience in the infrastructure or transport sector
*Experience of developing and motivating capable teams
*Proven record of effective commercial management for large contracts under NEC or similar collaborative forms of contract.

A sound understanding of public sector governance and experience of leading major corporate change are all highly desirable
