We have a fantastic opportunity for a commercially astute Diversity & Inclusion Specialist to join our team for a 12 month contract. With a proven Human Resources background and significant experience of and a passion for Diversity & Inclusion(D&I), you will be accountable for developing and leading the D&I Strategy across EDF Energy and ensure that EDF Energy retains the Gold Standard from independent experts for our approach to diversity and inclusion.

About the role

Based from one of our key locations such asExeter,London, Hove, East Kilbride,Gloucesteror Doxford, you will report to the Diversity & Inclusion Manager and support them in enabling culture change within the organisation which will ultimately result in Diversity & Inclusion becoming part of our business as usual. You will also be responsible for managing the project tracking mechanism to enable the organisation to be awarded with, maintain and track any Diversity & Inclusion accreditations, as well as working with the Future Capabilities & Early Careers Manager to integrate Diversity & Inclusion into the strategy for Graduate & Apprentice recruitment. In addition to this you will work with the Diversity & Inclusion Manager to develop detailed plans for each business unit which will cascade from the overall Diversity & Inclusion Strategy ensuring that the business units are set up for success, and then in turn work with each of the business units on their governance structure and project teams for local delivery of Diversity & Inclusion related projects. Also you will be responsible for managing large scale employee engagement events such as Diversity Day, the Company Makers programme and strand specific events such as the Pride season.

About you

The ideal candidate will have a track record in HR operations and/or a diversity role, and strong project management and analytical/reporting skills. You will also have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a focus on engagement, as well as an ability to multi task in a face paced environment. In addition to this you will need excellent knowledge ofUKemployment legislation, with a particular focus on legislation around diversity & equal opportunities, as well as having outstanding interpersonal, communication, presentation, influencing and facilitation skills.
