DISPATCHER - CORNWALL

PART TIME TEMPORARY

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assignment of drivers, regular and spare, to runs and charters as needed
- Completion of daily dispatch sheets and statistical summaries
- Communicate route updates to drivers
- Two-way radio communications
- Answer inquiries regarding routes from customers and drivers
- Flexibility with work hours to meet operational needs
- Assign drivers and buses to open routes and LOA's
- Assign work in accordance with Employee Handbook
- Co-ordinate vehicle maintenance with Shop Supervisor
- Liaise with general public and School Board officials
- Responsible for payroll
- Additional projects and duties as assigned

EDUCATION: Minimum Grade 12 High School graduation diploma preferred

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:

- Proficiency in computers required, preferably with MS Office
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required
- Ability to organize and prioritize integral to this position
- Good knowledge of the Cornwall area
- B Class Driver's Licence required
- Bilingualism a must
