Discovery Engineer

Discovery Engineer: Application Discovery, MCITP, Software, Packaging, VM's, QA, Microsoft, German Language Skills

Darwin Recruitment are currently seeking skilled Application Discovery Engineers for a minimum contract of 3 months in Austria

Tasks of project:
interview business owner/expert user about application installation requirement
Collect application media/sources and license information
Create application packaging/sequencing document according to defined standards
Use and management of VM's to perform QA testing
Conduct test procedures according to defined test cases and create accurate documentation of test results
Conduct User Acceptance Tests together with End Customer Business Owners or Application Experts

Experience Needed:
Good knowledge about Microsoft Windows operating system (MCITP - Enterprise Desktop Support Technician or comparable skill set)
More than 1 year experience in IT, preferable within the area of software management or desktop management & support
Basic understanding about Software Packaging processes and techniques including toolsets
Trained in Application Discovery, strong ability to adhere to processes and an accurate work style
Ability to set up and manage test environments, including handling of Virtual Machines
Fluent German Language Skills
