Disclosure Officer - 6 Months/£220 per day

Multiple roles available for Disclosure Officer's to work within a high profile Central Government project. 6 month initial contract offering at £220 per day (LTD).

The core responsibilities of the role are;

KEY TASKS:

Undertake the role of a disclosure specialist in criminal cartel investigations and other criminal consumer cases as appropriate.

Ensure that investigators are fully conversant with their responsibilities under the CPIA, in particular: to carry out all reasonable lines of enquiry and to record and retain relevant material.

Ensure that disclosure procedures adopted are fully compliant with the CPIA, the Disclosure Codes of Practice issued under section 23 CPIA, the Attorney Generals Guidelines, the Disclosure Protocol, the Very High Cost Cases Best Practice Guidance and the Southwark Crown Court Disclosure Initiative.

Carry out a thorough review of all of the unused material obtained and generated in the course of an investigation.

Advise the Project Director in relation to reasonable lines of enquiry and third party material.

Draft disclosure schedules that comply with the Codes of Practice and best practice guidelines.

Ensure that all court instructions and counsel requests that relate to disclosure are dealt with diligently.

Maintain an awareness of developments in the field of criminal disclosure, including case law.

Develop and maintain relationships with external shareholders.

To be considered you will have the following experience;

EXPERIENCE:

Experience of performing the role of a disclosure officer or deputy disclosure officer in a complex fraud, commercial crime or regulatory context.

Trained as a disclosure officer on an Accredited course.

Good knowledge of the CPIA, the Attorney Generals Guidelines on Disclosure and associated current guidance.

A good understanding of the criminal cartel offence and the disclosure risks of cartel investigations, as well as consumer criminal cases.
