Disaster Recovery Specialist Job

DISASTER RECOVERY SPECIALIST needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in INDIANAPOLIS, IN.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Lead disaster recovery development
- Perform disaster recovery exercises
- Implement disaster recovery plan

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Responsible for Local Disaster Recovery Program including adhering to Standards/Procedures related to Disaster Recovery that complement the Corporate Business Continuity Policies
- Maintain standard templates for technical recovery, application recovery and data center recovery plans
- Provide enterprise architecture reviews and recommendations on disaster recovery design to ensure IT solutions can meet the business recovery objectives
- Document recovery plans, perform tabletop DR Exercises and perform DR failover exercises
- Provide leadership and direction to infrastructure teams assigned to DR initiatives
- Apply high-level understanding of the organization's business systems and industry requirements
- Serve as a liaison between the business and IT to create and document solution designs, focusing on process analysis and re-engineering with an understanding of technical problems and solutions related to current and future business environments
- Prepare charts and diagrams to assist in problem analysis and submit recommendations for solutions
- As appropriate, may participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of IT strategies and plans
- Partner with technical solution providers to ensure optimal delivery of Disaster Recovery solutions

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Four (4) year degree or equivalent experience
- 5 - 7 years leading disaster recovery development and performing disaster recovery exercises in a medium to large company
