DISABILITY CASE MANAGER - REGISTERED NURSE (RN) needed for a FULL TIME CONTRACT opportunity with out client located in Houston, Texas

THE BIG PICTURE:

- Our client is seeking an RN with strong clinical skills, good communication skills. You must have prior Disability Case Management experience to be considered.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Maintain appropriate case documentation as required within Client's DM standards and protocols.
- Use information in SAP HR and other sources to help employees understand their benefits, rights, and responsibilities when absent.
- Use information in SAP HR and other sources to provide counsel to HR BPs, Supervisors and employees on policies that may affect the handling of an employee absence such as job protection, fitness for duty, or Client's policies.
- Interpret medical records and provide professional decision on factors affecting an employee's absence or ability to return to work.
- Understand and provide counsel on the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993, related state leave laws and other legally required employee absence-related benefits/rights.
- Assist DM Advisor with preparation of reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assists TAs (time administrators) and supervisors with appropriate SAP HR absence coding based on weekly advice and case status
- Assist employees, supervisors, HR BPs, TAs, disability vendor, etc. with questions around disability management and process and refers them to the DM Advisors as needed.
- Provide desk and workload coverage for Advisors and other team members when necessary

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Must be computer literate
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or similar.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in disability claim management/medical case management.
- Outstanding interpersonal, customer service, problem solving and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent case documentation skills.
- Positive teamwork in an existing dynamic team. Proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality of all employee medical information.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience in using case management and workflow systems.
- Preferred:
- Master's Degree in Nursing or similar
- Certified Case Manager (CCM) credentials or similar case management credentials.
- Certification as Professional in Disability Management (CPDM) or similar credential.
