Director of Strategic Infrastructure - Experienced-Pro rata £52k

Our client requires an EXPERIENCED DIRECTOR OF STRATEGIC INFRASTRUCTURE, to be based in our client's office LOCATED NEAR FLEET STREET IN LONDON on a PRO RATA SALARY OF £52K over the DURATION OF 9 MONTHS.

THIS ROLE WILL REQUIRE A CANDIDATE WHO HAS SHOWN SUCCESSFUL EXPERIENCE IN THE BELOW AREAS

- Establishing, deepening and influencing working relationships with senior policy and decision makers across regulated firms in the UK and developed Governments.
- Leading projects across sectors, being responsible for the delivery of specified outcomes.
- Advising the Board and senior management teams on issues relating to the delivery of efficient infrastructure investment and the cost/benefit
- Establish a dialogue and influence the thinking of senior policy and decision makers about the size, distributional impact and cost recovery of infrastructure investment in economically regulated markets across GB.
- Develop with and gain agreement of senior policy and decision makers of the use of impact criteria to develop and assess policy frameworks in relation to consumer harm or welfare.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

- Leadership experience at senior management level in the private, public or voluntary sectors, including managing professional staff and budgets. Candidates will need to provide evidence that they have successfully challenged conventional thinking and changed views at a senior level.
- A track record of successfully using limited resources to deliver in an innovative, externally-focussed, partnership-oriented way. Candidates will need to show that they have achieved original results through partnerships and coalitions that they have built.
- a knowledge of the policy issues relevant to the role, including:
- public policy development
- impact analysis of major public policy programmes
- economic analysis of infrastructure investment in a regulated sector
- High level experience of challenging government and business decision-makers.
- experience in directing evidence based programmes
