DIRECTOR OF SECURITY OPERATIONS

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Directs the secure design and implementation of technologies throughout the SSDLC for all layers of the OSI model.
- Oversees the development and maintenance of security standards including, but not limited to, network infrastructure, wireless and mobile infrastructure, operating systems, databases, applications, and emerging technologies.
- Fosters strong relationships with Information Technology and partners to ensure reasonable security controls are properly designed and implemented to adhere to regulatory and internal requirements.
- Provides strategic direction to address risks with existing and emergency technologies.
- Identifies, allocates, and manages resources to achieve project objectives.
- Designs team roles and responsibilities to ensure accountability.
- Contributes to Capital and Operational Budget planning for the Security Operations and Engineering department.
- Sets goals for motivation, career progression, provide mentoring and recognition for the Security Architect employees.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

REQUIRED:

- At least 10 years of experience as a Senior Systems Design or Senior Security Architect.
- At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role within Information Technology.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of networking concepts and communication protocols.
- Knowledge of Architecture concepts and frameworks.
- Knowledge of systems integration.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent program and project management skills with proven ability to work in a cross functional environment to drive the implementation of projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills and negotiation skills to interface with management and staff at all levels within the organization.
- Ability to work individually and in a team environment with minimal supervision and provide deliverables in a timely manner.
- Written and oral communication skills including interaction with business partners, vendors, and technical staff.
- Knowledge of Architecture concepts and frameworks.
- Knowledge of systems integration.
- Prior program/project management experience.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Bachelor Degree in Information Systems/Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
- Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.

Knowledge of secure design and implementation of:

- Network infrastructure (Firewalls, Switches, Routers, wireless access points).
- Operating systems (Windows, Unix, AS400).
- Databases (MS SQL, Oracle).
- N-tier application architecture.
- Mobile technologies.
- Web development and coding (JAVA, .NET).
- Emerging technologies.

PREFERRED:

- CISSP, CISA and/or QSA.
- Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
