DIRECTOR OF SALES AND MARKETING

WE HAVE AN AMAZING OPPORTUNITY FOR A COMMERCIALLY AWARE AND EXPERIENCED SALES AND MARKETING PROFESSIONAL TO LEAD THE SALES TEAM AT LUCKNAM PARK HOTEL & SPA.

Working alongside the General Manager and reporting into the Managing Director you will be responsible for the sales and marketing strategy with a view to maximising revenue and driving the business forward with regards to events and reservations.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working within a hospitality business at 4/5* level in a Sales Manager/Director of Sales role. A comprehensive understanding of marketing channels, revenue management and event planning are essential to be able to fulfil this role.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE DIRECTOR OF SALES AND MARKETING:

- To implement a sales and marketing strategy across the property including Spa, Cookery School, Equestrian Centre and Food and Beverage
- Communicate the strategy to the team across the property in order to drive and deliver revenue to meet budget demands
- Personally manage the relationships with key partners, for example Relais & Chateau and Pride of Britain
- To lead, develop, manage and motivate the sales team (events and reservations)and Heads of Departments in order to achieve set targets
- Personally liaise and manage relationships with PR agencies in order to maximise exposure
- Nurture a sales culture within the team to create an environment that identifies and converts sales opportunities
- To present to potential clients and attend trade shows as appropriate - UK and overseas

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- Experience as a sales and marketing professional in a comparable property
- Excellent understanding of the hospitality industry including competitors and trends
- Forward thinking and innovative whilst focussing on increasing business and changes in the market
- Understanding of marketing strategy and implementation
- Excellent presentation skills
- Ability to lead, develop and motivate a team, including Heads of Departments
- A people person who can quickly build and nurture relationships
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise in order to meet deadlines
- Ability to analyse and succinctly communicate financial information
