Director Of Innovation

The role is an extremely important part of the companies strategy for 2014 and beyond to enhance there research and development capability. The focus will be on Product and Commercial Innovations for all business areas and new technologies. Role: Be the leader of Project Managers and Engineers in the Innovations team working on research and development of equipment. Supervise all new product specifications and assigned development teams located in the in the UK,Germany & China Be responsible for hiring a team for the new UK Innovations Centre Be responsible for critical decisions to balance time,cost,scope of delivery and quality/risk Guide senior engineers to make good design decisions across multiple technology areas In collaboration with marketing department develop project schedules,test plans, and other project documentation Experienced Required: Experience within a Gas Controls company Degree in Engineering (Electrical,Computer Science or equivalent) Experience with global patent applications/registration and associated procedures Min 5 years experience of managing complex R&D projects involving multiple disciplines Track record of managing a diverse team of engineers Experience with embedded systems Experience with all phases of product development lifecycle including feasibility studies, design, verification and validation and transfer to production Broad exposure to custom electronics, controls and complex software Experience of International teams Experience of relevant technologies such as Software and controls algorithms, PC user interface design, Communications (3G etc) and Electrical Engineering (particularly networked/embedded computing elements) To find out more about Huxley Associates, please visit www.huxley.com
