We are seeking a qualified DIRECTOR OF INFRASTRUCTURE to lead operations teams in support of a 24X7 HOSTED INTERNET SERVICE. You will be responsible for server operations, application management, security, production change, release management, infrastructure architecture, capacity planning, server incident management, and security. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in delivering complex projects, including coordinating and driving issues to resolution autonomously utilizing excellent project management skills. You should also have experience in building and managing a team of strong technical people. Prior ownership of the operation of a mission-critical support team is crucial to success. A passion for operational excellence, working with new technologies and pushing the envelope on existing technology is required.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Master's Degree preferred
- At least 4 years' experience managing in a large-scale enterprise environment required
- Consultative experience in related industry preferred
- 10 years' experience managing a staff of at least 7 direct or indirect reports
- 3+ years' experience managing a change control process
- 5+ years' demonstrated experience working with customer relationships during problem resolution
- Experience managing infrastructure projects using a structured methodology
- Experience in systems, network administration and design highly recommended
- Prior hands-on engineering experience or strong familiarity with one or more of the following technologies: Cisco Switches and Routers, Application load balancers, Network attached storage, Linux/Windows Systems, Firewalls, Campus wireless networks (802.11), Virtualization (host and storage), RDBMS (Oracle)
- Working familiarity with infrastructure design and modelling tools
- Working knowledge of emerging technologies and associated security implications
- Ability to produce and interpret visual requirements, strong analytical skills required
- Must demonstrate a high degree of organization and be very detail-oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact well with peers and customers
- Must be able to interact and with and influence people at all levels
- Working knowledge of SLA definition and refinement
- Experience with quantitative measurement and improvement, passion and aptitude for data analysis
- Experience dealing with customers during problem resolution and operating under pressure
- Must be available 24x7 to assist with any critical problem or outage; scheduled to work in office full time, 5 days per week, travel to customer site as required
