Director of HR/Director of Human Resource/Head of HR/Head of Human Resources wanted.

Skills needed: Director of HR/Director of Human Resource/Head of HR/Head of Human Resources experience, experience of the transport industry, public sector or central government experience.

My Bristol based client is looking for a Director of HR/Director of Human Resource/Head of HR/Head of Human Resources to replace a member of staff who is leaving.

The Director of HR/Director of Human Resource/Head of HR/Head of Human Resources will be responsible for:

*Full contribution as executive Director on both Directing Boards on all matter relating to the successful running of the client
*Champion decisions made by the Directing Boards and role model the Agencies' values and people principles
*Board level "business partner" to champion the people agenda in support of achieving the organisation's strategic and business objectives
*Support the DfT HRD to embed the DfT HR Group Model and take forward cross Government initiatives eg CSHR etc
*Develop and drive the new ways of working and embed the required behaviours through appropriate challenge and development at board level
*Strengthen the alignment between performance management, business objectives and reward and contribute to developing a culture of continuous improvement
*Manage key stakeholders relationship within the Agency, Department and Central Departments as appropriate including negotiations with the Treasury, to secure agreement to proposals for change
*Create a climate for good employee relations in the client through effective communication and practice and strong partnership approach
*Contribute to the implementation of major organisational change initiatives, leading the people perspective
*Develop workforce planning and career development approaches which deliver return on investment and optimise opportunities to progress the talent and diversity agendas
*Develop, implement and maintain HR strategies and operational plans to meet business needs and key targets, through clear deliverable goals
*Lead the delivery of HR services to the highest standards in support of achieving business goals
*Develop, implement and maintain the client's HR policies and procedures framework
*Ensure compliance of the client's duties and obligations arising from legislation and best practice in employment, and agreements with Trade Unions and other stakeholders
*Hold and manage key relationships with central government and public sector clients
