Director of Biostatistics

This well-established biopharmaceutical firm in the greater Los Angelesarea is looking to hire a Director of Biostatistics. The Director Biostatistics manages the overall activities of line managers and Biostatisticians, responsible for performing the data analysis for assigned clinical. The director also works closely with the clinical team, project Sponsor, data manager, other statisticians and programmers to analyze and present the data based on Sponsor specifications. He/she develops, creates, verifies/validates and maintains the programs for assigned projects in compliance with standard operating procedures. He/she is also responsible for cross functional standardization and harmony, technology and process improvement and resource forecasting.

Position Details:

- Routinely keep track of revenue captures for statistical services under supervision and keep supervisor informed.
- Responsible for statistical activities associated with clinical research studies and with programs leading to regulatory submissions.
- Represent clients at FDA meetings when called upon.
- May serve as primary statistical contact with clients for projects of diversified scope.
- Review and approve work of other members of the department and perform Employee Performance Appraisals.
- Ensure consistency of departmental activities and processes across projects by planning and implementing process improvement goals within the department,
- Maintain departmental SOPs and technical documentation.
- Plan and implement technical training for other members of the department as well as coach and develop staff members for professional enhancement.

Position Requirements:

- Ph.D. in Statistics/Biostatistics
- At least 10 years experience in Biostatistics within Clinical Trials and 4 years experience in management. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong oral and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
