DESCRIPTION:
The Director of Production will be responsible for directing, maintaining and planning the day to day operational health of the production environments, including CHANGE MANAGEMENT, INCIDENT MANAGEMENT, DEPLOYMENTS and more. In addition, this role also needs to collaborate with key stakeholders on production items. This position will be reporting directly to the Vice President, IT Operations.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years experience with APPLICATION PRODUCTION SUPPORT IN A LARGE SCALE ORGANIZATION with experience in SDLC, AGILE AND ITIL
- 8 + years leadership/management role within a large scale organization
- 5-7 years expertise working with MAINFRAME applications
- 5+ years providing production support for large INTEGRATED SYSTEMS
- 3+ years working collaboratively with 3rd party multi location VENDORS
- Solid knowledge of CLOUD COMPUTING SYSTEMS AND STRUCTURES
- Bachelor degree in information technology or engineering
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide consultative support and expertise to ensure all systems/environments are up and running
- Responsible for overseeing the triage of incident tickets and the assignments to specific resources
- Provide key messaging and communications on Severity 1 incidents and critical production issues
- Commission root cause analysis as per problem management
- Oversee the change management board
- Manage the development and implementation of emergency break/fixes as well as maintenance releases
- Oversee all production environments, deployments and service introduction
- Manage 3rd party vendor relationships that provides a portion of the production support services
