Director - Merchandising

My client, a market leading luxury retail brand is looking for a Merchandising director to join their team on 6 month interim contract - maternity cover. This role is a great opportunity for a Procurement professional to gain experience in a well known organisation.

Rate: market rate- very competitive daily rate

Length: 6 months minimum

start date: August

Location: London

THE ROLE:

With previous experience as a Director, ideally gained with a similar luxury retail brand, you will be accustomed to reporting to Board level. It is essential that you have experience of Buying and Merchandising, in particular a sound understanding of allocation, and you will be able to demonstrate a track record of managing large teams and projects successfully.

You will need to have excellent organisational skills, be highly analytical and commercial, and demonstrate superb attention to detail. Your people management skills will need to be exceptional as you'll be expected to lead by example and develop close working relationships with key internal departments.

You must be available to start with us by the beginning of August to ensure a smooth transition and we expect the post to be for a minimum of 6 months.
