Projektbeschreibung

Currently available is a Director role for a fantastic Government Client. The position is immediately available and has the option to travel abroad at times.

Description of Tasks
In order to take forward the delivery of a central government programme, the Director's tasks are to:
a.Reinvigorate the Army's approach to the conceptual component of fighting power; to enthuse, educate, inform and influence, both internally and externally.

b.Establish the central government programme as an operating concern and lead a core team in new offices at the Former Army Staff College.

c.Design, draft and deliver the long-term solution for the central government programme, designing the structure and securing the necessary resources.

d.Assume responsibility for oversight of Higher Defence Studies Programme and the establishment of an Army Scholarship programme.

e.Reinforce extant links and forge new links with academic and practical institutions engaged with historical analysis and conflict research.

f.Efficiently archive relevant material.

g.Take responsibility for editorial oversight of the British Army Review.

h.Form effective relationships with Army Historical Branch, through the GS.

Functional Contractor Requirements
Essential Skills. It is essential the selected incumbent should display:
a.The vision, drive and ambition to set the agenda for a new venture, one of CGS' personal projects.

b.The character, experience and understanding necessary to stimulate an approach to the development of the conceptual component of fighting power within the Army.

c. Military credibility and experience of Army (and wider Defence) high level conceptual force development.

d.Understanding of the structure, pressures and demands placed on the UK Army.

e.Academic credibility and an understanding of, and familiarity with, the network of relevant practical, academic and university institutions and think-tanks.

f.Independence of thought and the energy to see a project through to completion.

Desirable skills. The following skills are desirable but are not pre-requisites:
a.An extant personal network of academic and practitioner contacts.
b.Experience within Defence education is desirable (JSCSC (including ICSC(L), ACSC and HCSC), RCDS or the HDSP (Cambridge MPhil for example).

SC clearance is required for this role or the willingness to undergo the process
