Direct Materials Quality Engineer

Direct Materials Quality Engineer required for a 12 month contract in Stevenage (Hertfordshire) paying £24p/h Ltd/Umbrella company rate.

The Direct Materials Quality Engineer will act as the single contact point for supplier machining and metal finishing and supplied mechanical parts in support of Stevenage projects and product teams. Resolve/support Direct Material quality problems encountered at manufactures, users or at Goods inwards. Propose mitigation and improvement plan. Guarantee that all quality commitments are taken into account by both the commodity management team and the procurement team, including post procurement activities.
Manage suppliers audit and surveillance. Ensure that supplied products are approved and conform to the quality standard and requirements of our internal customers.

Essential - Previous Supplier Quality Assurance/product assurance knowledge and quality assurance in engineering and working with and auditing of suppliers.

Desirable - Knowledge of materials, mechanical parts and processes technology used in high reliability applications.
