Digital TV Engineer - 3 Month Contract - Belgium (Telecoms Client)
As a Digital TV Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:
- Analysing requirements
- Solution design
- Writing technical specifications
- Interaction with vendors eg set-top-box vendor, Back End vendors (SeaChange) etc.
- Defining scope of work
- 30% hands-on experience (ie validating whether the delivered solution is in line with the requirements, etc.)
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Senior Digital TV Engineer with strong and broad knowledge of Digital TV Back Office solutions (ie Set-top-box, Video on Demand (VOD) systems, streaming systems, DRM, Conditional Access, SeaChange, Pace, etc.)
- Having sufficient background in several domains in order to pick up new things quickly. The technology and functionalities are constantly changing (edge of technology). Hence you need a broad background to make the links between all technology in order to understand the new things. ie "Find your own way."
- Needs to be a mature person who can work independently (proactive, initiative, can-do-mentality)
- Able to work in a small team where a lot of different things have to be done
- Hands-on and can-do mentality
- Language: good English is mandatory; Dutch speaking is an extra value-add but not mandatory
