JOB TITLE: Digital Project Manager

HOURS: 36.25 hours/week

JOB TYPE: Contract - Expires July 2017

REPORTING TO: Director of Marketing, Communications and Development

PURPOSE OF JOB:

To transform the digital visitor experience at Brunel's ss Great Britain. The role is focused on managing the Trust's Digital Transformation Project from project initiation through to successful delivery and completion.

The Digital Transformation Project is an Arts Council England funded project. The core aim is to deliver infrastructure and systems to ensure that all of the Trust's visitors/customers have the best possible experience, and develop ongoing relationships with the Trust.

AIMS:

The role will focus on implementing a CRM solution,

E-commerce system and onsite digital infrastructure and digital visitor experience; integrating these solutions with Trust systems and procedures, and delivering a suite of cross-channel, cross-system communication measures to provide a consistent visitor/customer experience.

MAIN TASKS

- Work closely with the Director of Communications, Marketing & Development and the Digital Officer, to help to define, implement and deliver the Trust's CRM and digital strategy.
- Using data and available technologies to optimise the visitor/customer experience.
- Hands on responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Digital Transformation Project.
- Project manage the implementation of new CRM and E-commerce solutions, ensuring optimal integration with other relevant internal systems and practices.
- Project manage the implementation of new digital technologies and infrastructure, working with project partners as required. Oversee the development of an onsite digital experience for visitors, using the new digital infrastructure.
- Develop and own the Digital Transformation project plan and budget, liaising with suppliers and consultants as necessary to ensure that key project milestones are delivered on time.
- Gather internal requirements and prepare consultant and supplier briefs. Manager the tender and appointment process.
- Manage the work of consultants and suppliers and work with internal teams and potential project partners to drive the project forward.
- Support and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including funders.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

KNOWLEDGE:

- Knowledge of the principles of good project management.
- Technical knowledge relevant to the project: An understanding of data, system implementation and digital technologies.
- An analytical and data-driven approach.
- An interest in visitor/ customer communication and knowledge of customer journey mapping.
- Knowledge of museums and visitor attractions.

SKILLS:

- Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills.
- Creative problem-solving ability.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence others and communicate the importance of good CRM.
- A high level competency in the use of IT systems and Office including Microsoft Project.

EXPERIENCE:

- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Preferably a recognised project management qualification e.g. PRINCE 2.
- Experience of managing and implementing digital/CRM projects in a Project Management role.
- Experience of large scale projects to bring about organisational change
- Experience of managing consultants and third party suppliers.
