DIGITAL PLANNING MANAGER

London-London - Angel Head Office

Full Time

Circa £45,000 pa inclusive

12 month contract, full-time or part-time 4 days per week

Are you a self-motivated and sharp minded individual who specialises in Digital?

Here at Cancer Research UK, we aim to save more lives by preventing, controlling and curing cancer. Every day we achieve extraordinary things by being innovative, imaginative and bold in our work.

Our Digital team are responsible for building a strong, relevant and engaging digital presence that demonstrates the breadth of our work and drives support for our cause across desktop, mobile and social. We are now looking for a Digital Planning Manager to join the team on a 12 month maternity cover contract and help us achieve our ambition to deliver the best digital presence for beating cancer, in the world.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Being the first point of contact for Digital enquiries at a senior level, with the ability to represent all areas of Digital and shape product and content teams' thinking.
- Leading a team of Digital Planners to build collaborative, proactive relationships in order to understand both business requirements and the strategic digital objectives and deliver work which maximises both.
- Responsibility for co-ordinating and prioritising within Digital and beyond to ensure business priorities are delivered

No day will be the same, and you'll need to work collaboratively with product managers, our IT team, external agencies and the rest of the Digital team on a range of fast-moving projects.

- Outstanding relationship management skills with the ability to challenge thinking effectively
- Ability to make and own decisions, and influence confidently at all levels, winning support for ideas that may not be preferred by everyone.
- Breadth of knowledge across several digital disciplines e.g. marketing, content, website development and the ability to translate non-digital ideas into inspiring digital solutions
- Proven track record in people management, with ability to motivate, coach, and performance manage a team to deliver strong performance.
