Digital Optimisation and Analytics Manager

OBJECTIVES

This role within the Digital team reflects the scale of growth being sought from our core business through our digital channels. To be digital pioneers we need to deliver great experiences, which needs an in-depth understanding of our customers, their expectations and behaviour. The role will be responsible for proactively measuring, reporting and analysing the online commercial and operational performance of the company sites and digital touch points, to drive conversion improvements, volume growth and digital share of total business.

THE DIGITAL OPTIMISATION AND ANALYTICS MANAGER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

- Owning the creation and production of Digital Channels reporting, covering the Management Dashboard, Weekly Operational Reporting, Funnel Reporting, Error and Site Uptime Reporting. Key to this will be to:
- ensure consistency of data used vs. rest of organisation,
- automation of process where possible
- ensure relevant data is stored and accessible for future analysis & trending.
- Perform deep-dive analysis and present customer behaviour with actionable recommendations that are applied to improve site & traffic performance.
- Own analytics tagging and strategy across sites, ensuring successful tag implementation and looking at new ways to extract insight to drive performance.
- Undertake ad-hoc reporting and analytics tasks based on business requirements.
- Own the multivariate testing and optimisation roadmap and execution.
- Provide reporting and data to help drive merchandising decisions on site.
- Work with the Digital Marketing team to tie together offsite and onsite performance.
- Work with Webchat team to optimise rules across site.
- Champion self service of google analytics across the digital team providing training sessions etc. where appropriate.

The successful candidate will report to the Head of Digital Creative and will work very closely with the Digital Sales, Service, Delivery team, Customer Management & Marketing.

The successful candidate will have:

- A good degree in a numerical discipline, such as Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics or similar numerical areas
- Expert user of Google Analytics with previous experience owning digital analytics tools and expertise of best practise tag implementation
- Expert user of excel
- Strong ability to manipulate and analyse data utilising various sources to create customer led, data driven reports and high impact presentations.
- Very confident presenter, able to explain detailed analysis in a simple and understandable way
- Self starter and proactive
- A clear thinker who makes rational, logical and reasoned judgments
- Customer obsessed - passionate about understanding customer needs and delivering to their needs
- An active interest and a good knowledge of the digital world, the associated technologies and best practices
- A track record of successfully working in a digital/E-commerce environment, ideally in an analytics or optimisation role.
