Digital Marketing Specialist

DIGITAL MARKETING SPECIALIST required for INITIAL 6 MONTH CONTRACT with PUBLIC SECTOR client in EITHER EDINBURGH OR GLASGOW.

Your duties will include:

- Feed into the creation of branding for the service
- Feed into the creation and articulation of the value proposition from a customer perspective and support the development of a best practice approach to engagement.
- Identify marketing objectives, positioning, challenges and their mitigation.
- Create and implement the Shared Digital Skills marketing and communications strategy and accompanying toolkit including: overarching service proposition and sub-brand propositions and underlying service articulations;
- Toolkit creation encompassing visual identity (budget allowing); messaging and content strategy; launch materials; channel recommendations; and stakeholder engagement initiatives.

Essential Skills:

- Exceptional and demonstrable professional marketing expertise and strong track record of design and delivery of a wide range of innovative marketing strategies for technically complex professional sectors.
- Exemplary analytical and communication skills - the ability to quickly synthesise and articulate complex concepts and information into clearly understood content to meet variety of stakeholders' communication needs.
- Ability to design and deliver innovative customer and stakeholder engagement initiatives from workshops to focus groups to leverage insight and build emotionally involved customer base.

Desirable Skills:

- Membership of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and evidence of continuing professional development.
- Evidence of communications and writing experience gained in commercial environment eg journalism or corporate communications.
- Knowledge of the public sector landscape and supporting ICT.
- Commercial experience of launching professional products and services to businesses and consumers across multiple sectors from ICT to Financial services.
- Current understanding of the challenges of meeting the digital skills agenda through harnessing ICT to better deliver public services
