Digital IC Validation Engineer

Job description:
As a validation engineer you are supposed to aid in the planned validation tasks on the first IC samples out from the fab. The validation tasks can consist of both functional and electrical measurements. The
validation is done in an automated framework which controls all instruments, support HW and debug SW. To control this framework Matlab scripts are used.
Apart from the planned validation work, you will also be required to support in measurements and analysis of customer return. This requires an ability to debug integrated circuits.
Required skills:
-Master of Science in Engineering preferably in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or
Computer science.
-At least 5 years of experience in electronics engineering
-Experience in HW design both analog and digital
-Review and support PCB designers
-Experience in test and verification of electronic design
-Develop and execute validation tasks such as:
PLL measurements
Clock jitter measurements
Power measurements
-Experience in HW measurement techniques and automation
-Automation of instruments, support HW and DUT
-Instrument experience:
High-speed Real Time oscilloscope measurements
Low voltage DC power sources
-Experience in Matlab
-Object Oriented programming
-Script experience
-Measurement instrument control from Matlab
-Experience in SW version control
-GIT
-Knowledge in ASIC systems
-Embedded systems and architecture
-ARM CPU cores
-Embedded memories (RAM, caches, etc.)
-Basic knowledge in C and Assembler
-Write small test sequences for ARM CPU
-A service minded attitude
-Communication skills in English is fundamental
Preferred skills:
-IC power measurement experience
-Low current scenarios
-Static and dynamic currents
-CPU debug tools
-Lauterbach debuggers for ARM
-Develop and debug CMM scripts
-Knowledge in signal integrity
-PCB design constraints
-Board crosstalk, noise
-Measurement experience on high-speed serial interfaces
-LVDS, MPHY, etc.
-Measurement experience on digital signals
-Clock signals (jitter, etc.)
-Signal timing
