Role: Digital Front End Developer
Location: London
Duration: 6 months Initially
Start: ASAP
Security Clearance: BPSS (With Disclosure of Scotland)
Rate: £450-£580 per day (dependant on experience)

Our government client is recruiting for a Digital Front End Developer role based in Central London for 6 months initially.

The role will involve working with developers and non-developers. You will help build Server Side web applications and you will have work on large projects within a team. You will take part in 2nd-line support of applications and platforms.

Essential
HTML, JavaScript and CSS
Knowledge of Unix based systems eg linux/mac os X
Version control systems eg subversion or git
Have the ability to quickly research and learn new programming tools and techniques.
Have knowledge of relational and non-relational database systems.
Have experience of building and scaling high-traffic websites.
Understand of the use of Responsive Web Design.
Understand web architecture.

It would also be desirable to:
Have knowledge of client side build tools: grunt, gulp or similar
Have experience in implementing APIs for internal and external use.
Have the skills to build up a useful, robust automated test suite to support a continuous deployment environment.
Have a working knowledge of SASS, Mustache templates, Java 7 and Node.js.
Have experience with test driven development using toolsets such as Mocha and Jasmine
