Digital Forensics Analyst

Yoh has a three (3+) month opportunity for a DIGITAL FORENSICS ANALYST to join our client in Alexandria, VA!

JOB OVERVIEW:

Our client is a leading provider of cyber security solutions and enterprise analytics and is currently looking for a Digital Forensics Analyst for a growing government client. This is a unique opportunity to evaluate and report on the client agency's cyber threat and security capabilities across their enterprise.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- The analyst will examine and analyze electronic media in support of suspected computer intrusion cases supporting both Federal and civilian organizations.
- After analysing such media using a broad range of computer forensic tools, the analyst must be able demonstrate mastery and knowledge of computer forensic processes and additionally be able to demonstrate knowledge of best practices within the field.
- On rare occasions, the analyst may be required to testify in a court of law as a fact witness to the specifics of a case or as an expert witness to the computer forensic analysis process.
- Working with customer organizations in a crisis, Incident Responders must have excellent customer relationship management and writing skills to help not just the organization, but also the individuals, through a period of unrest.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Six (6+) years of Prior Experience in Investigative or Incident Response Environments
- Three (3+) years of Computer Forensic Experience
- Two (2+) years of Technical Report Writing Experience
- One (1+) years of experience with EnCase, FTK, X-Ways or Other Computer Forensic Tools
- ONE (1+) YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IDENTIFYING AND ANALYSING MALWARE

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/CERTIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Related Field
- One or more related certifications such as the EnCE, CFCE, CCE, or CISSP
- Knowledge of a programming or Scripting language
- Experience conducting forensic intrusion examinations, to include identification of malware, attack vector, and possible exfiltration methods
- Experience with volatile memory analysis
- Programming or Scripting ability
- Excellent report writing skills and grammar
