Digital Electronics Engineer

Digital Electronic Design Engineer required by leading Aerospace and Defence Company in Cheltenham.

PROJECT:

Currently the department is investigating and identifying failure trends on approximately 550 warranty/customer/business investigations to improve customer relations by improving product quality and reliability. They do 10 large scale deep dive investigations per year which provide the business with reliability improvements as well as a reduction in the warranty costs to the business.

They now need to bring in an experienced Digital Electronics Engineer to support the department on their projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Own the product group in the aftermarket workshop and carry out all customer/warranty/fail on fit investigations within the product area
- Drive improvement projects within specified product area to improve turnaround time and reduce costs to the business
- Carry out deep dive design investigations and carry out design changes to improve aftermarket product performance
- Writing customer feedback reports

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

- Qualification to degree level or above in an electronic or hardware discipline or qualified through demonstrated experience
- Experience in working in a similar environment is required
- Demonstrated ability in leading root cause corrective actions investigations.
