Digital Design and Verification Engineer

DIGITAL DESIGN AND VERIFICATION ENGINEER CHANDLER, AZ 6 MONTH CONTRACT

The Engineer in this role will be assigned to work on complex mixed signal communications integrated circuit for the cellular market. S/He will complete digital design and verification tasks at the design block and top level.

TASKS WILL INCLUDE:

- Developing RTL designs in Verilog/VHDL from specifications
- Creating testbenches for block level designs and developing tests to run on them
- Creating specifications for block level designs from high level requirements
- Creating tests to run at the top level to verify correct integration and top level use cases
- Debugging mixed signal simulations that contain real number modelling of analog blocks

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- 5+ years of total relevant experience required
- Expertise in HDL development (Verilog and VHDL) both in design and verification
- Experience developing and using self-checking testbenches using high level verification languages (OVM/UVM/System Verilog)
- Strong Embedded design experience preferred
- Knowledge of cellular telephony and ability to understand analog schematics and functionality preferred (examples are ADC/DAC, PLL, MIPI interfaces, etc.)
- Expertise in debugging complex mixed domain issues (hardware, firmware, analog) that exist in top level and subsystem level testbenches
- Understanding of physical aspects of digital design
- Proficiency with low-power Synopsys flow (UPF)
- Strong debugging skills
- Understanding and experience in the use of configuration management systems such as Clearcase
- Ability to understand and debug C code in an Embedded system preferred
- BSEE/MSEE required
