DIGITAL DELIVERY MANAGER

LOCATION: COUNTY HALL, CHELMSFORD

TEMPORARY 6 MONTH CONTRACT WITH VIEW TO TRANSFERRING TO PERMANENT

£11.47 - £15.25 PER HOUR (PAYE)

FULL-TIME: 37 HOURS PER WEEK

Essex County Council (ECC) is one of the largest and most dynamic local authorities in the UK and is undergoing significant transformational change to further enhance customer focus, service and delivery. In driving channel shift and migrating additional services into Contact Essex, as well as externalisation and rationalisation of services, we aim to improve the customer experience and provide value for money.

The Digital Delivery Manager will lead the operational transition of customer access across ECC to digital channels. This will create a compelling customer experience offer so ECC's customers choose to interact with the Council through digital channels. Furthermore, all internal departments across ECC have confidence that digital self service can deliver efficiency savings for them and deliver a positive customer experience.

The Digital Delivery Manager will be responsible for championing and developing access to ECC's electronic channels, including ownership of the Web presence, to ensure customer access is delivered to the highest standards of customer excellence, in the most cost effective way, including driving channel shift and promoting self-service. You will drive the identification of opportunities to migrate more services onto the digital channel enhancing delivery, cost savings and achieving better customer experience. Challenging services across Essex, you will work with the service to implement cost effective channel shift to digital.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- Educated to degree level in a relevant subject area, or equivalent by experience.
- Experience of successfully delivering outcomes to tight deadlines.
- Knowledge and understanding of concepts of digital customer service including the ability to assess the strengths and weaknesses of different digital channels.
- Experience of working on multiple projects at the same time.
- Experience of working with senior staff including presentations and demonstration
- Experience of working in a political environment, would be an advantage.
